We don't have a pick 11 anymore, we have a pick 6, which is why I said 'effectively'.

Yeah, all good points. I guess the main difference between heading into 2013 vs heading into 2014 that most of us thought that we were still some sort of flag chance in 2013 after a prelim final berth in 2012.

As supporters we tend to expect to much at times. Our long term injury list at the start of the last 2 years was horrific and then we lost other key players for big chunks of this year.

When one takes into account key players coming of reco's from the year prior and further injuries in 2013 to the likes of Beams, Fas, Toovey, Grundy, Jolly, Krak, Johnson, Lynch, Young, Broomhead, Ramsay, Frost and Thomas it's remarkable that we were only 1 & 1/2 games from a top four position.

Personally I think we are better placed in 2014 (not for a minute stating top couple) than 2013 with little or no injury list at seasons start and the excitement that is pick # 6 & 10 as well as the additions of Adams and White. I'm reserved Re: Karnezis and Armstrong.

Fully understand that OS but 'factually' we received 11 for Daisy then effectively received 6 by on trading 11 and 31 discounting the small fry swaps in the 40's.
