Nothing would please Richmond president Gary March more than the Tigers being hated, like they were in the halcyon days when gun administrator, Graeme Richmond, was calling the shots off the field, and top coach, Tommy Hafey, was guiding them to a plethora of premierships.

Sadly i have to say i can't buy this. The days of having to be hated to be successful are long gone. I see no reason why prolonged success has to be linked with being hated - envied sure, look at Geelong they won two flags and have had a good 4 years at the top but i don't think they were hated.

Even Collingwood - won the flag last year but are they hated? sure didak and thomas and eddie give me the shits but the way they have gone about their success is to be envied.

I like all that is happening under the current regime - but i would like it more if the pres said less and let the CEO do the talking.

you guys are interpreting it wrong, people say they hate teams all the time, its a figure of speech, meaning "im jealous"

If we divided Gary March's public utterances into silly/embarrassing/harmful and helpful to the club, I know which side would be much fuller than the other.

Sorry, I have to agree with March. Hardly anything makes me want to vomit more than when my Collingwood supporting co-worker says "I like Richmond. Collingwood and Richmond has a similar working class background for supporters. I hope they will be successful.".
