Marcus Banks

I have a sinking feeling that his trade was Jerry West's first error in his time in Memphis.

I honestly believe Marcus Banks will become a poor mans Isiah Thomas, a player we would love to have in Memphis.

Disappointing, because this boy is going to be special.

I've been following him all season. Hasn't set the world on fire, but like a number of rookies, is getting his feet wet. Hopefully Memphis can get him back...because I don't like Boston!

Just for those that don't know, the trade went down like this:

Memphis traded Marcus Banks (pick 13) and Kendrick Perkins (pick 27) to Boston for Troy Bell (pick 16) and Dahntay Jones (pick 20).

I was disappointed from the moment the trade went down, simply because i wanted to keep Perkins, who is legit 280lbs highschooler.

Losing Banks is bad enough, but if Perkins makes it, like i think he will, it will go down as one of the worst trades in recent memory.

Ive always likened him to a poor mans Jay Williams.

That trade was interesting, Banks was expected to go late lottery and Perkins was known as a good prospect at center (a position of need for the Griz)... I think Memphis shouldve just kept both players but anyway I think Bell and Jones will become players in this league aswell.

Hubie doesn't seem to rate Bell, and simply can't find minutes for Dahntay.
