Thought I’d get a thread started for this incredible game.

Your all in for a treat, Rainbow Road in this game might just be the best ever track in Mario Kart history
Just did Rainbow Road, epic track. Bowser's castle also up there as one of the best for me.

Mario meets Xenoblade, what an insane OST this is and still haven’t scratched the surface of the whole OST

The music is gorgeous in this game, and I've been constantly surprised at how many remixes I've been hearing from literally every Mario game I've played just in this ONE Mario Kart!

I'm at 3 stars for two of them and 2 stars for the rest.

Had a go at two of them last night. First GP win race 1, leading race 2 then blue shell last section of last lap, 2nd. Second GP leading race 1 then blue shell last section of last lap, 3rd.

Rage quit.

I'm finding it a bit easier now I've been playing for a solid 3 weeks.

Although I won a knockout tour and it only gave me 2 stars , so no idea what you need to do to get 3 stars on that.

Were you first at each checkpoint?

Have seen so much negative press for this game on social media. People are apparently "abandoning" it to go back to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Each to their own but other than having a million tracks I thought MK8D was boring. Could just do a GP and win with 60 points most of the time with my eyes closed. As well as the mechanics being great, MK World isn't fair and that's what MK should be. It should be ruining the friendships of 7 year olds and 37 year olds alike.

I have barely skimmed the surface of free roam but I think that's more interesting to kids. I know it's only been out for a month or two but I hope Nintendo have a plan and keep supporting the game and don't just wait a year for DLC. 8 GP Cups and 8 Knockout Tour rallies aren't enough for a game that is $114 coming off MK8D which had 24 different GPs. Yes there were multiple versions of the same tracks but I do agree MK World leans too much on the intermission tracks. Knockout Tour is fun (unless you want 3 stars in which case I would rather support the Dees) but people want more traditional GPs.

I'm more or less done with it. It's too frustrating in online mode. I get it, I am probably not good enough, but then again with 24 players it descends to a free-for-all of items, and you can see all your progress, especially in Knockout Tour, wiped out because someone at the back gets a lightening bolt, with someone else squashing you, then someone else knocking you off the track. It ruins the enjoyment factor when you know luck is the overriding factor.

I am usually pretty confident of making it to the final 4 and then at least being a 25% chance of the W but going for 3 stars is luck. Played for a bit last night and it took me 4 restarts to get to first place by the first checkpoint. Pretty standard you get 3 mushies at the start when you are 19th or something but if you get a green shell and a coin block in 6th on an intermission track you aren't making up ground. And you are getting hit with a blue shell before the first checkpoint give it away.

The game has potential but it seems Nintendo doesn't want to budge to what the fans want.

Online racing get's boring too quickly now that most of the races are not 3 laps and I have noticed the races are never full.

Knockout out mode is good but they will need to add new rallys soon or that will become stale as well.

Loved MK8 for the online stats and seeing which counties other people were from.

I prefer the gameplay in World but no way will I be getting 5-6 years out of it like I did with MK8.

I will soon devote my time to starting Cyberpunk.
