Laid a tackle on a young Lion to show him what the game is about and was the MJ of old, and Derek Humphrey Smith said on SEN tonight it was the "worst case of player endangerment he had seen all year". The tackle may have been over the line but not reportable, as judged by the review panel.

It happened less than 5 metres from my seat and I had a perfect view of it. In my opinion it was a perfect tackle. It was hard and it was legal.

MJ actually held the Brisbane player up as he dumped him to the ground, so it was not a spear tackle. If he did a spear tackle (where basically you bury the head into the ground first - therefore very dangerous for possible neck injuries) that would be unacceptable, but I thought MJ did his absolute best and ensured that was not the case.

On DHS he is a shocker. At first when he was on WLF I thought he was ok, and explained some interpretations well. But once you see him a few times you realise he is a bore and a tool.
