The difference here is... Solomon is 27 this year. Johnson will be 30 next year.

It's shit-stirers from the mob who spread the rumours about Connolly being hated by the players, and whined that he lacked toughness.

They have got the hard-man coach they wanted in Harvey. If he predictably recruits a team based on hardness and physical maturity then the mob have only themselves to whinge at.

Don't forget it was the head whingers of the mob (referred to as influential Dockers supporters in the media) who blamed Connolly for poor discipline at the club, then did a backflip and petitioned the board to have Farmers six week suspension shortened, then said nothing when Farmer offended again under Harvey, and finally began praising Harvey for introducing discipline by suspending players which they claimed Connolly never did!

If their stance seems grossly hypocritical, thats because it is. Mobs by definition are characterised by irrational decisions that usually end in dissappointing results. The Freo mob is no different. Mob members justify thier decisions by referring to their anger and dissatisfaction. Ask them to explain the logic behind them, and they are at a loss.

I'm not convinced we even need to pick him at all. Anything more than a PSD and a cheap salary and I'll be annoyed

id take him if we traded him for a fourth round pick or psd.The fact is he comes cheap.Weak draft so fourth rounder isnt a big loss.He would be a serviceable forward for 2-3 years and as it is our window would be worth thought.Adds grunt and tackling pressure deep in forward line and does have a good goal sense and would bring physicality to team that cook brought.
