Thought Mark McVeigh's efforts in the final term deserved a special mention. Not only for the amazing mark and goal, but also the second and third efforts, the chasing, the tackling and harassing. I thought he showed a lot of leadership.

.. apart from Hird?Been really impressed with him this year.
In the second half yesterday he was the only player to show Hird like determination in wanting to win the game.
.. apart from Hird?
He wasn't too far off the pace either. Certainly didn't cost us with any errors.
Dead set, the AFL must have it out for us. There was talk in the Herald Sun today that McVeigh's hanger might not be in the running for mark of the week because it was a blatant free kick. It was called a mark, so how can they over-rule it. If they do over rule it then why couldn't they do the same for McPhees mark last week? Double standards if you ask me. I bet you If it were Collingwood players in question then both would have been nominated, What a joke.
I'd play him up forward, he'd beat nearly everyone his size in a marking contest.
If McVeigh had his hands in Thorton's back surely Lloyd should get a free for being harrassed by O'Hailpin anyway
he should be given plenty of the time in the midfield as he is the best user of the ball in our side and he knows how to kick a goal
