Does any one know what is up with him.Is he going to try again or is he just waiting for that phone call
"hello mark neil here..........

He's being given until the final cut-off deadline for delistings, sometime in November, to prove his body can survive the pre-season and to prove he is worth a couple more seasons.

IMO, if he pulls through we make the bottom of the eight, if he doesn't, we will be around the 10-13 mark again.

I was hoping Mark would be fit in both years Carey was there as I felt we needed Stevo at CHF and Carey at FF with Burns sitting in a pocket and Roo and co streaming through the middle and loading one directly to FF

Didnt happen :( and then our direction was shot trying to find where Carey was at any given time in the game.

I daresay it is time to embrace change. Blood the youngsters and retire poor old Stevo to the paddocks.

Harsh, but true.

Mark played very well when he returned from the long lay-off this season.

He deserves an opportunity to have the chance to continue.
If he retires who do we replace him with in the PS draft???

I reckon Stevo deserves another year. He came back from injury and kicked 8 for the sanfl Eagles, and then kicks 4-5 for us the following week. Definately deserves another year. Maybe he should be played at FF instead of CHF to preserve his body.

I think his test will be how he goes during the pre-season. If he goes well and doesn't cop any injuries then he will stay.

If he does come through I would play him at FF and Sarge at CHF. That would make us a lot stronger and Stevo could kick 50 odd from FF

I'm hoping Krueger comes through as a FF, as I like the Lynch style, big bodied FF.
If that occurs can Stevens and Sarge both play on the HF line?
Sarge appears to like to be the go to man, struggled with Carey near him. Would the same occur with Stevens.

Alteranatively would you play Stevens as CHB, McGregor at HF, and Perrie CHF - that may gel a bit better?

I think if Stiffy is correct and I would tend to favour the scenario that Kreuger is still in 'development'' and Stevens is a stop gap while Kreuger is slotted into a FP next to Stevens in about 10-12 games fitness/injuries(to Kreuger) not withstanding.

And NO if Kreuger is FF then Stevens is CHF and Perrie is LRO

LRO= Left Right Out :p

Talk about HUGE expectations. Krueger has hardly played this year. I think he would be at least a year away from being ready. He needs a couple of pre-seasons in the gym to get to the size you would like him to be. Let him learn his craft in SANFL next year. By all means give him a few games here and there but don't expect him to be a permanent fixture in our side.

Freddy's biggest challenge will be to prove that his body is up to it.

This is where it gets terribly confusing for us interstaters .

The lads bio on the Crows site and media reports last saeson PS said he had a mature enough body to play last year?

I've heard him desribed on this board as being built like the proverbial.......

The lads not a 18-19 year old, in fact was an older recruit.

So you'll excuse me when you say he needs a few pre=seasons in the gym and still learning his craft at 22.
What's he going to be another Hudson B4 we see him?

He is a big lad with broad shoulders and has that build that will make him an absolute monster. He does have body that would be sufficient to play AFL now but he is not as big as you have stated in comparing him to Lynch. For him to get as big as Lynch he will need a couple of pre-seasons in the gym. He is a big lad but not as big as you think. Lets not forget that he hardly did anything in the gym during the pre-season because of that injured back. So in reality 2004 was supposed to be a development year and he would be ready to beak out in 2005 BUT that back has set him back a year in his development.

Craigy is a big wrap for the lad and he certainly sees him as a key forward. He just loves his aggression and mongrel in going for the footy. I think Krueger is the sort of player that you will like:). A crash and bang KPP.

If he has a good pre-season I would definelty give him a run in the Wizard Cup but I am not expecting much of him in 2005. I would have if he was able to play some consistent footy this year.

If Steveos body holds up, I would play him at FF and Perrie at CHF and give watts and Kruger 5-7 games. In 2006 I would let them loose.

Good comments :)

The thought of two aggressive KPP in Watts and Krueger is encouraging.

Whats more (and I trust your not putting words in Craigs mouth) I like the fact Craig is looking for aggressive players :)

We do however need to introduce some hardness into the midfield

Their form will dictate how many games they play period, not the AFC staff ;)

Craigy praised his competativeness in the air and real hunger for a contest but admitted his biggest challenge will be to have an injury free year
