Further to my underwear observations (and the fact that this studying is boring the pants of me) - my next qn is socks. Do you care whether they match?

I've noticed that most guys don't give a damn whether they wear matching socks, chicks on the other hand always seem to be wearing matching pairs.

So - what do you do?

(And I'm talking about wearing them on your feet :D )

There is another interesting side to this - the guys who are more than willing to talk about their socks who didn't post in the underwear thread. :D Something to hide, guys? :D LOL
 
Sly, you are bored aren't you. :)

It is very hard to wear matching socks when the gremlin that lives in the washing machine keeps stealing one of the pair, I now only buy black socks, HA HA washing machine Gremlin now what are you going to do. :cool:

I do my own washing and I care.

The secret is to buy a dozen pairs of the exact same socks. It then becomes a no brainer. ;)
 
Mooster's Sock Bag

I'll go here, because I catch quite a bit of strife for my sock attitudes.

I buy socks 36 pair at a time. They are all the same and always the same brand - Burlington crew - white comfortable and good.

I dump these in a canvas "sock bag" which I store in the closet. No need to pair them up as they are all the same. I wear them once. Then I wash the lot. I hate the second wearing, but I still wear them a second time if they pass inspection after the laundry cycle.

They go back in the bag, for a second wearing. From there they are thrown straight away. No second washing or third wearing of the socks. They go to the dumpster. By then they simply aren't comfortable or stark fresh white.

Time to buy 36 new pair. I don't think that's weird. I think holding on to thread-bare, loose dilapidated socks is weird.

This bit sort of describes my collection of footy socks... a few designs x 3-4 pairs each.

Designs/colours always match, even if strictly speaking, they are not from the same pair.
 
I used to mismatch my school socks if I was running out of time in the morning...how rebellious, and I didn't even get into trouble at school.:eek:

Hmmm, maybe because they were all white, ankle socks.:confused: :)
 
well if i can find a pair of matching socks i wear them but normally i can't find them!!!
it doesn't relly patter anyway tho...in summer u wear sandals without socks and in winter your pants go over tem!!!
most of my socks are pretty similar anyway...nike anklets so i try to get them both with a tick or bith saying nike or both in the same colour but otherwise i don't really care... except at school i do try to wear matching knee highs coz oterwise u do look slightly weird...
