No doubt Black is the biggest danger. Who'd get the tagging job? - Hyde?
Copeland if he plays would probably take Coughlan or Brown.
We've got them covered for leg speed and they have the advantage in body strength.
With a tough but slow Lions defence, we'll need a few goals from Kraks, Pettifer, Tambling if we're to win. Bowden could be the key to the match if he's allowed to mop up at half back.
We've more ruck options that should see us control the clearances. Feeling confident.

I am with you on this one Tigerland. Last week, i wasn't too confident at all. But for some reason i think we are a real chance this weekend. Might just be the heart playing games with the head though! :o

I'm also quite confident on beating this Brisbane team. Not a shadow of the side they we're last year, Lynch used to give our defenders hell, I'm glad hes not their now.
I believe we are a team that brings the previous weeks intensity into the game.
- Round 5 St Kilda, we came out very flat, finished off the Fremantle game with very low intensity and brought that into the game.
- Round 6 Port Adelaide, we came into the game very flat after finishing very low against St Kilda but we over came it and ended firing.
- Round 7 Carlton, We came out absolutely firing, perhaps due to finishing off so well against Port Adelaide, we lost the last quarter.
- Round 8 Collingwood, We came out with realtively low intensity but we finished off with very high booting 8 goals in the last quarter.
I'm not asking you to agree with me, but that is just an observation I've noticed and if its correct, we should come out firing against Brisbane.

i think where better off not tagging, just play coughlin on eiether black or lappin and then just head to head.. if where too worried about stopping their midfield we wont get the pill ourselfs..

Cogs did the defensive job on Luke Ball and still made a decent impact on the game with 23 touches, no reason he can't do the same on Lappin or Black.

yep agreed, let cogs go head to head against their best in and under black, and newman to take aker... kane or hyde on lappin, but wallace will prob give chaffey 1st crack at lappin..

gas on brown, bowden to back him up at every opportunity with a 2 on 1, schultz to play as ff on michael, richo with lepper and simmo/knobel to create the mismatch...

will chris johnson play on brown? hope so

i reckon we're a real show for this

You're forgetting Black. When he's fired, we've won the game this year. Of all of the games we've lost, he's been injured or out of form. Last week and against Essendon it was apparent what he could do when fit so you will need to bottle him up if you're a chance, and then you won't have to worry about Aka as there will be no feed for him.

he doesnt just play to negate, he plays to beat his direct opponent for the ball, he's always thrived on playing against the best opposition midfielder
