Ok Fella's What do you reckon of this kid.

He has been touted as some sort of prodigy and if he was old enough was gonna be an early pick last year. Would he be a priority for the 2003 draft ???

I doubt he will get him because he will go pretty early i'd presume. Unless we finish near the bottom but I certainly hope that's not the case.

I reckon right now he will be a top 3 pick..... It would be our worst nitemare if we have a pick that low !!!

There was talk that Moody would have gone top 5 last year if he was older. Definately a chance to go 1 or 2 at the moment.

However, saw a little snippet of information in the weekend paper, talking him down and mentioning that he may have CFS. Will slow his development and may see him passed over for other players at the end of the year.

We have to get this zoning in place sooner rather than later, I'm afraid.

Were making the 8 this year so I cant see how were going to get this kid without trading players and picks.
Top draft picks are becoming more and more valuable and frankly I dont want to trade away the kind of players we would be required to in order to get him.

The Eagles will get him with their draft picks for Judd.

I agree with you Blocker. Judd will go east and the turds up the road will get him

I'ts pure speculation as to what pick Moody will be in this year's National Draft and it's highly probably that neither Fremantle or the WCE will get him. Currently he is on the way back from illness and to date has played in a couple of Colts practice games, he will have a gradual start to the season but should make the League side eventually.
Arguably, on last year's form, he will clearly be a top five pick and once again should figure prominently in the State U18's side, he has the ability to do something special and is a top quality kid. As a matter of interest he has some very good team mates in the SF Colts side several of whom should also make the U18's and be possible Draft picks.

vinaka va'levu Yakuza.

My second comment was a subtle troll, not to be taken too seriously. Appreciate your input and insight, and looking forward to all that Bulldogs talent having an impact.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this kid in action again at the Nationals - his speed and poise was exceptional last year. Unfortuntely he was hampered a bit by been in such a pitiful (for carnival standards) side.

My only query about been top 5 is the strength of the draft. I haven't seen enough to comment enough on him yet, like I said I'm hoping he plays in the Nationals again.

But this year is looming as a strong draft - Raphael Clarke, Cameron Hall, Kane Tenace, Brock McLean and Ryley Dunn all look the goods.

What about Kepler Bradley? - John Turnbull spoke very highly of him in an article last year.

You will see Kepler Bradley again in U18's this year providing he doesn't get injured. Like Moody he also would have been Drafted last year had he been old enough. He is a different type than Moody being taller (196cm) and doesn't have that freakish ability, nevertheless he is an outstanding talent and capable of playing a number of roles, he is very well co-ordinated for tall player of his age and should develop into a top line AFL player. Where he goes in the Draft will depend very much on how he goes against the top quality opposition he will find at the U18's Carnival.
Your right in your comment re the potential strength of this years Draft and to that end there is a much stronger crop of potential Draftees in WA.

blockerhall - thankyou for the greeting, the pleasure is all mine.

Interesting you note Brock Mclean for a 16 yr old maybe his just turned 17 his a huge kid i think he woul dbe about 181cm but i reckon he woukd weigh around 85kg just pure muscle was a teamate of Brock and went to skool with him last year also the same skool as Ryan Crowley he actually has a smiliur muscle definition as Ryan.
Do you know another bloke from Cannons i think his a chance Jesse Smith his a 17 yr old with loads of talent and is a cousin od Andrew Welsh from Essendon.
