Well, last year he did impressively with Denver in the Summer League (like 7/7 or whatever) but didn't get a call back

Playing in Greece now, but no doutb he's a great player.

He impressed me when he cried his eyes out after losing the u/18 Grand Final to Newcastle and wouldn't shake our hands after the game. Also impressed me when he played for Australia and sucker punched a Canadian after the game.

Good player - yes
Good bloke - hell no.

I think he could play in the league, that is to say, sit on a bench for an NBA team and play in junk time. History shows that we've had a lot of players wussing out from taking that method to actually getting legit playing time.

I agree guys prob not quite up to it.

CJ Bruton could make it I reackon, however there is just so much competition for guards over there and also I don't think he's young in basketball terms.
But good enough I think he is.

Re: Nielsen and him in the NBA
I just think he's too much in between of a position, he's 6"8/9 but has no real bulk to bang. His outside shot isnt consistant enough for him to be a shooting PF, and he's not athletic to be a guard/SF. He'll be a good international player, just would be able to make the transition to be a good NBA player IMO.

I just don't get this facination with CJ Bruton. He might have the style of game that might suit the NBA but he just isn't good enough. IMHO CJ Bruton is a very average player.
Yep.

I think some of you guys are overestimating the standard of the present NBA. The NBA is fundamentally flawed free throw shooting, defence/defensive intensity being two of the main areas.

CJ given a chance could make it.

I think you're over-estimating the whole "US isnt the best at basketball anymore" thing.
You PLEASE tell me how a league with ben wallace, bruce bowen and ron artest could be considered lacking in defensive intensity.

You are kidding right??????

CJ Bruton wouldn't even get an invite to training camp. He is NOT that good. I think he is one of the most over-hyped, average player all around. I just don't see what people find so good about him.

A very average player.

The three players and are mention are all sound, unfortunatly for your arguement there are another 500+ players in the league.

Get yourself some tapes of the European elite teams and you will see defensive intensity.
