what is going on with Matthew Davis, is he a chance at playing in the seniors this year at all, and hows his form in the reserves trial matches, if his playing that as, i heard he had a hip injury.

He has had a restricted pre-season with an injury - not sure exactly what the nature of it was. Hasn't played at all in the pre-season games and all the fit youngsters were given a run at some point, regardless of experience.
Made good progress last year in the reserves and looks like he can play. Very elegant player and a good contested mark. There's a chance that he will be capable of playing senior football towards the end of the year but there are probably a lot of more developed players ahead of him in the queue so it will depend on how they all go this year.
