Unless you ask the question you will never know the answer, I have met a lot of sales people who do everything but ask for the order, same analogy

reason I ask is last I heard he is very happy down there, and I had the vibe he's happy out of the spotlight

with no recent info or contact, I'll be surprised if he ever is interested in a senior role after the way he finished at EFC

I wouldn't want Knights as our senior coach but would be more than happy with some fresh faces as our assistants and other than the media hype about him replacing DH as coach every time we lose, I think he would be a good asset. Can develop players, no doubt about it..... that is an issue for us currently.

Do you even know if he wants to leave Geelong, or even better, wants another run as senior coach?
asif he wouldnt jump at the opportunity to coach his old club

FFS MATE get off the catnip !!

It's a reasonable question.
Plenty of blokes have had a go at senior coaching and decided it's not for them.

he was sacked

hed jump at the opportunity and his gamestyle suits the current game

I agree with the last part but being sacked doesnt mean a bloke isn't averse to senior coaching. Probably means more so.

A lot of coaches prefer to keep the club they played at soley as the one the played at. And this is because if they **** up, their legacy with the club is all about the coaching failure

Voss, bucks, Hird, shimma, and that's just a few

And don't forget it too two decades for us all to stop thinking of on primarily as a failed coach (although his boycott didn't help)

The guy is a Richmond hero, he may not want to risk losing that

Hard to attack when you don't get the pill.... time after time our much vaunted midfield gets smashed.... it's where our best players are they get done in big games.... Martin, Cotch, Grigg, Miles, Lids and Sheds looked ok on the stats sheet but watch every centre clearance and the quality of our clearances compared to North's.... Clarkson couldn't coach this lot when they switch off... By the end they were shot due to lack of rotations but when the game was there to be won, we were smashed inside...again. A new coach may invigorate them... for a little bit and then it will be the same issue...rinse and repeat.
How do you know a new coach wouldn't work? It's a fact after 7 years Hardwick has not made it work well enough to get where we need to be.

Knights wouldn't turn down an opportunity to be a senior coach. Anywhere.

But I know his management did sound out Richmond saying they would love to talk if there ever was an opportunity to do so.

To me, he would be a sensation coach for us.

I would love knighta or bomber I was a big believer that bomber would be perfect but I think knighta would be excellent, he knows why the clubs in the position it's in, he has a great game style and he is a real professional

I don't know that a new coach wouldn't work. I'm just suggesting that until our 'stars' learn to pull their fingers out when things aren't going well, we won't go anywhere.

Any new coach gives an immediate short term boost.... but will a short term gain be enough to take us to the flag? It hasn't worked for gold coast, it's worked ok at the Bullies, how far they go remains to be seen, the change from basket case to competitive is easy (see Carlton, see Richmond, see Melb, the change from competitive to finals is harder and the change from finals to top 4 is harder again....

DH will be here for the next 12 months at least.... get some others in around him, make us the free-wheeling side we were in 2013.... give the players the freedom to play less restrictive football and let's see how we go.

Our stars have stopped performing because what they are being asked to do will not bring the ultimate reward

People here say the players love him well I haven't met a player that didn't love the incumbent coach

Even then there have been voices of dissent in recent times so watch this space

What rubbish mate our stars continue to perform at a very high level. Dont believe all you read its the next couple of tiers down from our stars that is the problem

When was that and what was the source?

There you go, someone who sees it the way it is.
We have a centerline that goes missing in action.
The final against Carlton it was Judd after 1/2 time, all our guys stood defensive side at the bounce,
and the Blues just run and spread.
Same in the other two finals just change the names, Man up.
Our centerline needs leaders
We are frontrunners when we are good we are good but when we are bad.......
We need to learn to tackle hard and make them stick.
We need to attack
