Just had a thought come to my mind...

No one chased harder than matty white or King last week.

Would love to see White have a crack at the best opp midfielder in a tagging type role.

OR

Use him on a player who likes to run/ CHB who is a play maker. Someone who takes his time to release the ball.

The defensive pressure Matt places on the opposition is fantastic. Could be worth a try.

Thoughts?

Wallace at the Press conference:

Wallace praised Matthew White for his forward pressure, but the Tigers desperately need more from bigger names than White before another season is killed off quickly.

Doesnt that make White being dropped absolutely disgraceful.

Praise him and then drop him, oh yeah, that makes sense.

I know that half of you kids on here aren't old enough to buy newspapers yet, but when do get old enough, don't believe 3/4 of the rubbish in them, especially team selections from the Tigers.

IMO White is a gun VFL player and just a decent AFL player. Do i think he can do a Foley? No personally dont think he is good enough.

utter stupidity by wallace, you would think he knows what the kids capabilities are by now, he has been around the club long enough hasnt he? they wont magically get better they got to improve their basic skills first.

never had a problem with this kid, purely because he has pace and hunger to succeed. His desicion making needs to improve, but when we all talk about players in our leadership group in the same way, you can see who has more upside with more experience. He is one who when chasing puts some kind of pressure on the ball carrier, because he actually wittles down the ground between him and the ball carrier, making the ball carrier have to make a quick desicion, rather than picking and choosing the best option. Unlike other more experienced players, who seem to be running up and down on the one spot, chasing for the sake of chasing, so it seems that they chased and made an effort, while the ball carrier is not only carrying the ball up the ground, but he has enough time to look up, slow down and assess the best option. ;)

Yeh, Jackson out.

Riewoldt deserves to play but doesn't look comfortable when playing AFL (yet).

Ah ok, it could be worse.

YEah I agree but I have a different view on it. If Riewoldt is dominating the VFL wouldn't the only way for Jack to get get comfortable playing AFL, would be to play AFL?

I guess Freo don't have the greatest quick midfield, so maybe Terry isn't too worried about using Jackson's tag. Although jackson can also play up foward, so who knows

Please all you people doubting Whitey. He's a very good player showed that today, SO happy he play Wallace is a wally fore nearly dropping 17 possies today and apart from the 3 points (instead of goals) all quality. Strong hips can break a tackle and acceleration that rivals Foley.
