The last 3 completed games of this round have been Melbourne, Port and Brisbane defeating Essendon, Carlton and West Coast respectively.

I am thrilled that this has happened, not just because it's great to have a laugh at the Blues and Bombers fails, but because it's highlighted that pretty much anyone can win any game if the supposedly better team isn't 100% focused and energised.

Hopefully the Tigers coaching group will have a few words to say to the boys about these three games in the lead up to our next two games in which we'll start favourites, to try and fight off any potential complacency before it can even creep in.

Nothing short of 100% focus an energy is acceptable.

Not just Gold Coast Red but Port Adelaide as well. I mentioned in a different thread earlier how important and valuable those losses are right now as we head into the "expected" win season.

Those two losses last year HURT the players, coaches and the club as a whole. The media had a field day with us. That pain will not be forgotten easily. They will not take any games lightly this year, and this weekends results will serve our group a timely reminder as to what happens when you do.
