Just wanted to say how much I am loving Maxy's Special (if not very biased) comments.

He gives a great insight into what the players are facing from inside the club.

Eddie's commentary in the mid 2000's used to make me cringe, but I find Maxy informative and he gives a great point of view.

It's refreshing after listening to Bruce MacAvaney rambling on incoherently.

Maxwell was wonderful. He did his research and even complimented melbourne when appropriate. Should someone replace him for Cameron ling? He was hopeless Saturday night

I think what he says is generally quite good... it is just how he says it. I cant stand his voice.

It was terrific hearing from Maxy as commentator, despite his commentary heavily favouring Collingwood. Not only his excitement and slight barracking for Collingwood, but also his Collingwood insider comments that give us a bit more than any other teams will get.

Not as obvious as those clowns on MMM i had to turn it over to SEN on the way home from work today, Brayshaw with his "look at the Toomp!) and obvious excitement at every Melbourne possession made me want to vomit, couple that with Lyon and his constant bemoaning of every Melbourne error made it a very unpleasant listening experience.

Yep, sums it up, Lyon is the biggest captain bring down of all time, he would walk past a jumping castle full of kids and deflate it if given the chance, and Brayshaw is just a flog who has about 4 or 5 catch cry's like "OHHH he's got the brazen bits" "look at the strut Gary!" "There's a bit of the look at me's going on here!" and "Oh no, you can't... Oh no!!!!! absolute flog!

Its like listening to Rex Hunt on radio. It was amusing at first, until you realise that you have no idea whats going on in the actual game.

Love the bloke and his work on 7 has always been good even whilst still a player.

I think it's ridiculous ex players commentate for their old club and they need to be rostered in such a way that they don't. It's not realistic to expect them to not be biased and it lowers the quality of the cast.

Sure he was right, but he's talking about a side (Collingwood) who played one of the greatest first halves of football ever (EVER) And he didn't have the ability or foresight to just objectively articulate the moment

Maxwell on the other hand just loves good footy and doesn't seem to care what jumper someone wears when they do something great. I say this with (hopefully) little bias as I didn't totally buy into his on field approach
