I won't go into too much detail, but having experienced it myself, it's possible that little baby may no longer be with us?

Could explain why he's been taking extra time off with the birth of the new one.

I would say you might be off the mark here and the little baby is most likely a niece or nephew. For the reason being that if Ben and his wife did have a child who sadly may have passed away as you are insinuating in your post, then the birth of their new little bubba wouldn't be referred to as their first child.

I remember '11 and losing the preliminary pretty well, I clearly remember the horror of '12.

The last three seasons is a total blur, where I've just had a permanent, big, shit-eating grin and we win premierships. It's all fuzzy in my mind.
