Did he play for Claremont? Or was it too late too include him in their team? If he didn't, what was the point of dropping him if he couldn't play WAFL?

PS. The "almost" axing of Matty Carr worked a treat, just like it did for Blackie earlier on.

Not sure if he played, but heard 720 6WC slamming the decision at the start of their broadcast. On the basis that he would not play for Claremont, also there was then a week off because of State match next week, so how does he show form.

Personally he needs to get back to playing every game as if it is his last.

He didn't play for the retirement village. Maybe he had the flu like CC.

On another note there was a Dunn amongst the best players for the Peel reserves. :thumbsu:

Bit harsh on medders, I thought - and a waste if he didnt end up playing for claremont anyway - surely m carr deserved to be dropped more than meds, or maybe I'm just biased.

He did not play for Claremont, I saw him at the Dockers game & he did not look happy.:(

Scapegoat board.

Are you suggesting that Medhurst is the scapegoat, or that I am treating him as such?

I like Medders in the team, just can't see the point of dropping him if he couldn't play WAFL. Can't exactly gain form and confidence from watching on the sidelines.

Unless there's some other diciplinary / attitude issue which the club has just said, no-one (not even the previously undroppable medders) is above an axing if we're not happy with the endeavour being shown.

If that's the case, then 10/10 to the coaching staff / match committee - that's what most have been screaming for (both supporters and the media) for the last 3 years.

Whatever it is, I'm just interested to know, as I'm sure more than a handful of others are too.

The match committee have ballsed up here (maybe by error). Meddie did not play for the Retirement Village on the weekend, state game next weekend, Retirement Village have a bye the following weekend. Three weeks without a game !!!!!!!!.

Unless they recall him this week, he will not have had a work out for a couple of weeks. Maybe he will play WAFL reserves for a team.

If you are dropping a player, make the decision and then the player can get a game at WAFL level. Ducks and drakes can hurt you in the long run.

What a great idea. Lets pick players based on wether they can play WAFL irregardless of form. So if SUbi have a bye we should pick every Dockers listed player from their squad and drop others to make room.....

Get real peoples. You pick your side based on the best players available and the best match ups, to suggest that playing WAFL should have any bearing on selection is just plain stupid
