I knew you guys would be suprised with Tarrant's workrate on the field. Very underrated in this area of the game, I think it is his primary asset. Probably one of the top 3 or so hardest working tall forwards in the game.

Spot on. I watch a lot of footy and I knew Tarrant was OK in terms of 2nd efforts, but he has stunned me this season. Probably a function of seeing him live where you get to see more of the off-ball stuff.

Medhurst should do well with you guys, he did well with us. Some Freo supporters will have you believe he was too selfish and that is why he lost his spot. The truth is that he was crippled by listening to people like said supporters. As an opportunistic small forward he had to have an element of selfishness, once he started trying to create instead of kicking them himself he was done for.

could not stand him. would rather argue with umps than play, was selfish and inconsistent, getting rid of him and a pick for taz was just about the best trade the dockers have done. arrogant and soft, would rather take a snap from an impossible angle than pass. glad to see the back of him. in one word hopless!

He was superfluous to needs at Fremantle. No problem. Absolutely. But to say he is hopeless is just...well...hopeless. Have a bit of respect. A small forward who wont take a snap from an 'impossible' angle (never seen one of those on an oval field, but there you go) is one that needs to go. Medhurst turned into one of those, probably from listening to people like you.

Medhurst though has surprised me with his on-field defensive pressure. He is a very strong tackle, and rarely seems to miss a tackle. Perhaps it is more an attitude thing and he knows he has to do more. I can see why he doesn't handball, he is a shocking use of the ball by hand.

Spot on there. Medhurst's handballing technique reminds me of my 12 year old sister's. I doubt he had much practice when he played as a youngster - he would've been one of those guys in juniors who you wouldn't even bother calling for a handball off.
