Can your doctor give you one for previous days? Haven't been to work yesterday nor today, might not be able to make it in tomorrow. But went to doctors just before at 5:45pm and they were closing.

Just having this thought now that the doctor might refuse to give me one if i head in tomorrow and ask for one for Mon-Wed and he'll say he can only give me one for the Wednesday??

It should not be a problem, I have done it a couple of times. It really depends on the doctor, some may be more strict. It could be my own doctor is probably most likely not the strictest doctor on the planet.

Depends on the doctor, some are nobs others are OK. You really should develop a relationship with one, become cool with them & then you'll never have this problem.

Just play it up a bit (if you need to) and you should be right.

These days most bulk billing clinics just want to pump patients through and don't tend to care too much.

If you're really struggling my cricket club has a book of them so blokes can get out of work to play on saturdays.

It's actually illegal to backdate either a Medical Certificate or a Referral but as has been said before, all depends on the clinic.

Yeah, he'll do it. Just say that you didn't want to go in the first day you were sick as you didn't want to waste the Dr's time for a normal cold. Then you realised you weren't getting better and needed to go get it checked and get a medical certificate.
