Last I've heard it was 19,659. I would think it is a bit more than that, though, since that is the number of a week ago.

Doesn't appear promising - I think they have a lot of work to do - no point in comparing early figures with last year's - we didn't have a 2006-type hangover then!
Fremantle are already bragging about reaching 40,000 members!

I think I heard Cook say we are about 7% down on this time last year.

However while the Cats' sponsorship position is strong, membership is down following last year's failure to make the finals after the club had taken out the NAB Cup.

"Membership is about seven percent down compared to the same stage last year but we are confident we will claw our way back, given we have a good start to the year," Cook said.

"But at this stage it looks like our figure this year will be about 30,000 compared to about 32,000 last year given where we are at the moment."

According to today's Herald Sun we have 21,736 members and are coming third in the membership tally for VIC teams only ESS and COLL are ahead of us.

Doing pretty well all things considered. If the club is budgeting for 30,000 members I think they're going to be happy with the numbers.
