Membership

I'm having an argument with a bloke on another website who reckons the AFC and Poower fudge their membership stats because they count AAMI members. I know you can get an ultmate AAMI membership that entitles you to come to all Crows and Poower games, or a membership that gives you rights to one or the other club's home matches. Can someone that knows the system please enlighten me? Are these ticket olders counted for stats and if so, how do they count the ultimate ticket holders?
My position is that if our stats say we have 48,000 members, that's what we have.

I was a Category 1 (now "Ultimate) member for 15 years and now am an "Essential" Crows members.

From my understanding, Ultimate members are counted as an official member of both Adelaide and Port Adelaide.

Essential members are counted as a member of whichever club they hold the ticket to the home games of.

It is cheating really, I have never been an "official" member of the club, as in paying for a Gold Membership and such. I guess it would be a bit like counting Telstra Dome members towards the membership of every team that plays there?

I am not sure what they do in WA re the stadium members, would be interesting to compare.

When you get the Membership, you specify which club you support.

Unfortunately that doesn't stop me from getting mail from Port Adelaide.

You do, but you are still counted on both ledgers as a Port member and a Crows member because that is essentially what you are.
