Lads, and Ladies. I've just posted on another thread and its dredged up memories of the '95 semi against the Bombers. Now I'm getting all misty eyed thinking bout my fav player from back then. JAMIE TAPE (may he R.I.P). i know he wasn't the best player we had then but I'm sure everyone has an obscure favourite that did something at some time to really endear them to that player. Jamie Tape for his tackle on David Calthorpe in that game has stuck in my memory.

Come on, post your favourites that were a lil obscure for whatever reason. Would love to hear about the stories why.:D

Well Stuey Maxfield was my favourite player because i had a drawing of his Jumper when i was 5. Then he was traded. Since then its been Richo and love Cogs.

Mark Merenda. If he could have got his body right he would have been an absolute star. Tough, quick, skilled, could do it all. He knocked out Gug Henwood from the Swans, who was twice his size, with a perfect hip and shoulder.

Yep, he was another who played in that '95 semi....the mark he took against west coast a few years back was sensational too.........just wasn't meant to be for him.

I also had a bit of a soft spot for Matty Dundas...played ok in the first half of '95.......looked like Butch Gale too with those camp blonde locks.

scott turner fixing up odonnell in that game and when bondy and fletcher collided and bondy got up 1st .

The 2 left footers Trent Nichols and Matty Knights in the early 90's having the numbers 22 and 33 seemed to work aesthetically. Sad that Nichols left:(
