Just a thought.

Wouldn't it be great if some of our younger players were able to have sort of player mentoring from past club greats on a casual basis?

Once a month the players get to speak to their mentoring buddy i.e Robbie Flower comes down and spins a yarn with Col Sylvia or Jim Stynes gives Paul Johnson and Jamar pearls of wisdom with regards as to how to play in the ruck or Lyon and Schwarz give some passing advice to Miller and Dunn on how to play as a key forward etc etc.

I think Richmond may do a similar thing for I do we might. Does anyone know?

I know it's sounds glib and idealistic but I just think it'd be something great for the club and would ingrain sense of pride and loyalty in the jumper for new players if this sort of situation was possible.

What do you think?

Great idea, i know the Aussie cricket team do this very often and seems to work for them. Might also get some of the younger blokes off the XBOX's for a while at least
