Query Merlynston Football Club (seeking information)

I'm doing a player profile for a Carlton past player who went on to play for the Merlynston Football Club.

I was trying to do a bit of research on the club and google sent me to:

Which unfortunately (like the club) is no longer with us.

I tried the archive of footypedia at the NLA but it is either too old or full of broken links.

If anyone has an archive of page 00005313.htm from footypedia anywhere I would love to see it (or any other info about the club). Such a shame that there is no record at all available online for defunct footy clubs like this.

Thought I would try Trove and it comes up on there straight away.

For some reason it cannot be found from Pandora site but is in Trove but linking to pandora?

Hi, I have just come across your thread, as i am also trying to find out some information. I happen to have a photo of the 1927 Merlynston Football Club, this has my Great Uncle John Fimister in it.

1929 - VFA sub district A grade
1948 - 1952 VFA Thirds
1954 - 1974 Metropolitan FL
1975 - 1979 North Metropolitan FL
1981 - 1983 YCWNFA withdrew mid 1983

1953 junior side in Northern District Junior Assoc.

In regards to those leagues, would they had programs printed for those games
or would would they have relied on local media to record events?

the NT leagues don't seem to have game programs till the 1970s
not clear if this was common

Also VFA Thirds (?)
Were there different clubs in that (to the first and seconds)?
