Mesut is correct, the situation in China is an absolute disgrace. The Uighur population in Xinjiang are a group of people that have lived in the area for thousands of years. China only took over the region after WW2 and really have no right to go in and attempt to "re-educate" the local population. The Uiyghur population isn't attacking China with military force either so there really is zero justification for China's actions.

Having said that Ozil is a prominent supporter of Erdogan who institutes human rights abuse against the Kuridish population in Turkey. So he really needs to speak out against that if anyone is to take his views on China seriously.
