I want to know why the pilot was flying at just 33,000 feet. There's a 32,000 feet no-fly zone due to the conflict below, why only 300m above this zone??

Yeah Clearly a set up by the US to take everyone's attention away from Israel sending ground forces into Gaza.

All the passports look like they are in good nick they should make the planes out of black box material and passports

I just find it weird that we already have this info and still nothing on mh370......just weird, that's all im saying for now.

Accident in the sense that the Ukrainian rebels were shooting down military aircraft, however, they appear to have mistakenly shot down a civil aircraft.

Agreed and as someone mentioned in another thread on this topic (on GD I think) they seem very obvious with what they're saying - 'We shot down a plane... it's civilian'. You'd think they might hold their tongues a bit better or be a bit more vague about it, especially this early after the event.

I don't think the call is that surprising.

Bodies were reportedly dropping everywhere. Very obvious it was a passenger plane from the moment it was hit.

Why would the Ukrainian rebels want to deliberately shoot down a civil aircraft? They have shot it down by mistake thinking it was another Ukrainian military aircraft.

If you'd kept up with events you'd know they had already shot down two Ukrainian military aircraft recently.

What I'm about to say, I don't believe it but I did think it...... This has caused mass panic around the world, something that MH370 didn't do at the time. Is this the outcome that Mh370 was supposed to cause ? Im just thinking out loud and this is the perfect thread to do so.

What you say isn't really out of the picture and you could be spot on but if world wide mass panic is what they are trying to achieve, what is it all for?

I don't see a connection between the 2 incidents. This one in the Ukraine, was a terrible mistake committed by armed forces during an armed conflict. The second one, MH370 is still unexplained.
