I believe that even with his injury issues he is worth picking up in what is ment to be a weak draft. IF fit he would be a great addition to our backline and is well worth the risk having being dropped by GC.

He is a bit long in the tooth (28 I believe) but is ment to be one of the best leaders around football club in modern times. The sub rule basically cost him his season by being forced to go back on the field with hamstring tightness.

28 and recurring soft tissue injuries. Sounds exactly like the sort that you'd want to avoid, having regard to the age profile of your list and your chances of a premiership in the next 5 years.

With Lake, Williams and Markovic there isn't a need for an older key defender

Lake may not want to play for us again, or may never return to his old form.

Morris may not recover from his broken leg (remember N Brown and his loss of form).

Williams and Markovic, while performing admirably this year in difficult circumstances, may need some help.

I will admit that his age was a bit of a surprise, but I thought he looked good early. Injury may rule him out though....

Were they?

He hurt himself last year internally; he had a sore hammy and the sub rule forced him back onto the ground.

Worth a crack for somebody, maybe Carlton or Hawks more than Dogs, IMO.

have faith with morris, for every n brown their is a barlow. morris is an unbelievably disciplined and dedicated footballer (like mick barlow), i have no doubt he will come back

on subject, i cant believe GC delisted coad, if fit he should be looked at by the bullies for sure. in fact id be annoyed if freo didnt do the same

Morris should come back ok, Browny said that it wasn't actually the broken leg that ruined his career but the damage from over-training that he did trying to come back stronger and better than before the injury.

Barlow and Brown's broken legs were way worse then Morris though, he should be fine.

It would be bad list management if we looked at Coad, we need young talls.
