Congratulations to one of the greats of the game and a champion of our own football club for breaking a record that may never be broken again.

I will be putting my hatred of Carlton aside for tonight and wishing him and his team the best of luck. :thumbsu:

I have not been a fan of MM post his RFC days , pure and simple coz he has never shown a shred of respect for his roots in snubbing premiership reunions yet attending plenty of WC and footscray anniversaries. Whilst I'll stop short of passing on my best wishes , I won't wish him unwell either. I respect it's an outstanding effort to achieved what he has

I'm going for the Blues tonight, I feel dirty but I hope they can get up for the old fart, he's a legend.

Ha HA, MM is an arseh*le:p.

He walked across my eyesight in the walkway of some MCG match back of the stands, think he just left a toilet. Anyway I enthusiastically yelled out words to the effect, from behind his left, hey, theres Mick M..., and the unsighted cold prick, not realising I was a legend in my own lunchbox, gave me a solid cold shoulder!!!:eek::p

I know I am a neville nobody but I do need MM acted out on it!!:mad::p:D Or maybe he just didn't hear me:oops: Doubt it though cause I am pretty loud normally:$, and I sensed he acknowledged my voice because his body behaviour changed a little as he seemed more focused to walk further away. Probably thought I was the cookie monster!:D

Ha Ha, it is interesting others received a frosty reception over the years.

Anyway couldn't thank Mick for helping me watch a Richmond premiership victory!:)

Not sure why Mick would not turn up to re-unions though. I seen the half hour with Gerard on Foxtel and Mick suggested he might be in the wilderness regarding a few relationships or clubs more specifically. I think a guarded Mick may read a little too much into situations at times, and possibly could show a little more goodwill and faith. Really comes down to if your fighting for a sheep station or not at times possibly IMO.

Didn't really know what to make of Mick briefly crossing my path. Maybe he was just in game mode for too long to leave his profile and slip into the sensitivities of average joe life or he was too busy in the moment.

Anyway I hold nothing against him and hope the best for him!:)

Lost all respect for this old fool since he went to coach Carlton, Used to like him before and wished he 1 day come back to tigerland

But the more bad things that happen to Mich Sh!thouse and Carlton the better

Mick has been incredible for the game. He comes across as being one of the last I don't give a shit what the outside world thinks of me. For the most part he seems to have had the respect of the people he has been involved with at clubs when he has been there.

Congratulations on a record that I don't see ever being broken again. I suspect that this will be his last year coaching. Age and time is probably not on his side to re-build a club. He will either leave of his own accord as he realizes that Carlton dont want him or he will get the sack.

It is going to be a long fix for the rabble at Princess Park.

Good on ya Mick for everything that you have given to footy over 3 decades........
