Vossy said at half time on Saturday night that he wants to continue to remain involved with coaching and is happy to do so as an assistant at an AFL club. He also mentioned that his family are aware that they would likely have to move from Brisbane in order for this to happen.

Is there room for Vossy on our coaching panel?

To be honest, I wouldn't be too surprised if Melbourne go after him as Roos's 2IC. Voss said specifically that he was interested in senior assistant role, so I'm not sure how he'd fit into our coaching line up alongside Laidley.

They would be crazy not to get him onboard. Only reason he got sacked from Brisbane was because they thought they could lure Roos to his old club plus some sunshine. I thought his time was up at Brisbane two years ago TBH. This year his team took a big step forward. Great football brain, well respected, demands tough players like himself. Hated him as a player probably because he was always on top of our players.

In saying that, Brisbane were about as prehistoric towards their midfield rotations as we were this year.

Considering he insisted on playing his best midfielder in the forward line whenever he could I'm not sure he's that good a coach.

Wouldn't want him here. The amount of times I saw him wryly smiling in the coaches box when his teams getting served was absurd. He smiles way too much for coaching. I don't want his adsurdness polluting our box.
We could be looking for a new midfield coach though... I like the Nigel Lappin idea.
