What disgraceful treatment by the rest of the Stones, not paying him royalties he's clearly owed. Pity he doesn't pursue them for it.

Surely Jagger could spare just 1 of his countless millions? Taylor was a great guitarist, he really shone on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out (maybe with the reissue he will get some well-deserved royalties there?)

That is tragic, I had not realised that he was in such a bad way. He would have to be one of if not my favorite guitarist and it is no coincidence that the Stones produced their best work with him. There has been a marked drop in record quality since his departure with Jagger more intent on being a celebrity than a serious musician. Ronnie Wood is no were near Taylor in terms of talent.

I hope he takes them to court it isn't as if they can't spare cash.

I dunno if it is a tragedy, but the bloke was an out and out jet for them during that period and surely deserves to have some income from those tracks he contributed significantly to.

He can sleep on my couch if he plays Exile in Main Street cover to cover every month

I hope he has a win in court. My understanding was that Sway was his song and he contributed heavily to others such as Moonlight Mile, Time Waits for No One etc.

And even if he didn't write the songs, it's his guitar work on those albums. He contributed to their sound over a sustained period.

Hopefully the greedy and self-absorbed Jagger settles out of court and Mick is given a lump sum and ongoing royalty.
