MicrosoftWord Question

Whenever I open Word I get the error message "The macros this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros"

I realise that this is probably a very simple thing. I have tried the help etc without success. Any help in enabling macros would be much appreciated. (Not that I would use macros, but its a pain in the bum having the error message coming up all the time)
