Who do you think will improve the most next season out of our bunch of midfielders?

And in what order do you think our midfielders will be rated by seasons end?

I'm tipping Kelly and Bartel to further improve next season. Kelly, I'm expecting big things from. He showed signs of what he's capable of in 2002, and I guess you think this year as a 'step backwards to move forward' for him. From early reports on the training track, he seems to be blitzing. Good signs.
Bartel will no doubt be seeking to gain somemore game time this year. I have no doubt this year is the year he can work off what he showed in 2002. With another Pre-Season under his belt, I'd say his body will be that little more matured to play a huge part in our midfield, especially the in and under stuff.

In terms of our midfielders next season, this is how I see it unfolding DURING season 2004.

Corey
Kelly
Ablett
Ling
Chapman
Bartel
Spriggs
Tenace
Moloney
Wojcinski
Rahilly
Enright

Expect Corey to take the mantle as Geelong's numero uno in the midfield. With Kelly and Ablett looking to spend more time in the engine room, I'm tipping Ling will most likely be used more around the grounds. Hopefully with the rest of our midfield stepping up, we can expect Ling to spend more time around the ground, in the forward line, or playing as a loose man. Chapman will spend more time in the midfield. Expect improvement from Bartel and Spriggs. Tenace to be eased into the wing or rover position. Moloney to rotate betwenn the ball and half forward. Wojcinski to play a more wider role in the wing. Rahilly to play more as a tagger. Enright, well I'm seeing him as a switch to half back, much like Dasher Milburn. I'm not a big fan of this, as I can see Enright as a very creative constructive midfielder. Yet it seems this is where Bomber is heading with Enright.

Paul Chapman will be the big improver next year in our midfield as he pushes himself to get fitter so he can spend more time on the ball.

Kelly and Bartel need to start pushing their names forward more and we all know 2004 is a very important one for Spriggs.

Ling and Corey will be our two prime midfielders, Cameron as a run with player and Joel to hopefully be more creative with his possessions. Ablett is a gun but will still spend some time up forward, Enright will play more a defensive midfield role, (across half back) Moloney, Tenace and Wojcinski will provide the speed and if Rahilly gets a game, (would he get in ahead of Rooke?) he will be a tagger as per usual.

I am really looking forward to seeing both Tenace and Moloney in the middle for Geelong next year, and hope they are given plenty of games.
