First, Freo faithful, let me thank all of you for your hospitality last week. I had the greatest -- no, most unforgettable -- time being with you in Freo, at Subi, in Perth, all the way up to Yanchep and the Pinnacles.
Big thanks and love to PapaJ, Harry Reems, Grape Bear, FreoGirl, salim malik, apuchar, pavsbootlace (who has an uncanny resemblance to Ryan Crowley!), Centurions, valkorum, StingBitten, gaskin and so many more here and on Twitter.

But even more importantly...

As Grape Bear acknowledged in the "Ross Lyonisms" the coach's quote referencing milkshakes was just a pure gold, laugh riot! I had to rewind it on YouTube to make sure I had correctly heard him say the following: "You can't just roll along and all have a milkshake and pretend everything is hunky-dory when you're not giving us output."

So the next day, in honor of Coach Lyon and our victory, Centurions and I celebrated by drinking milkshakes at the Lagoon Cafe in Yanchep. The same night, talented young 6PR journalist Ryan Miller and I continued the celebration with another milkshake, at Fast Eddy's in Northbridge.

It got me thinking: Every time we win, we should all celebrate club and coach with a milkshake — a different flavor for every victory — and post pictures here and on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, wherever, of us sipping sweet victory.

Who knows? Maybe it'll become as much a victory staple of all of us yelling out "Fremantle!" as a replacement for "TNT" in the chorus of the AC/DC song! :)

l hope it wasn't too much of a disappointment, l know the tourist boards try and pump that place up :p

I like it! Kinda says that while the boys go back to training to improve for the next game we are allowed to enjoy the win.

I'll hopefully be downing a caramel milkshake next weekend with the kids.

Not disappointed at all. I was awed. Beautiful area. Stark, foreboding landscape, mystery surrounding the formations, intriguing indigenous creation story...what more could you ask for? As for Yanchep, all we needed were three more kangaroos in the backline and we could've fielded a full side!

Should mention, too, the milkshake flavor I had at Yanchep was spearmint. Never known any place in the U.S. to make those, including an L.A.-based joint called Millions of Milkshakes. McDonald's breaks out its famous green "shamrock" shake around St. Patrick's Day, but the one at Yanchep was superb.

I remember driving from Brisbane to Cairns many years ago and trying to find a spearmint milkshake anywhere was a complete fail. They would look at me as if I was mad and ask "did you mean lime"?

Must be a WA thing!

One of the things that I miss most of all about not living in WA anymore is Masters spearmint milk. I drink it by the litreful whenever I'm back.

Aw that stuff is awesome! Now I need to make a trip back to Perth for the milk.
I've noticed spearmint milkshakes aren't a thing in Melbourne either. I'll have to settle for banana instead.

I was gonna say get around the spearmint milkshake. Nectar of the gods

So who is going to be the first to post a pic of themselves with milk shake?

Not sure if I could do a full milkshake, if I have too much milky things it makes me sick these days.

I know I know, new fad modern soft as butter middle aged middle class 1st world problem whinging yuppie pain in the a$$ is what I sound like. Hate sounding like those lactose/glucose/protein/carbohydrate/gluten/oxygen intolerant types, but unfortunately this once lover of icecream (I'd eat half a tub of any brand you care to mention in one sitting) now has to watch the dairy. Perhaps I'll have a bit extra milk in my coffee - does that count?

It's actually perfectly normal as you get older to become slightly lactose intolerant
