According to the official AFL Tribunal 2006 document a Level 2 charging offence is only worth 125 (before good behaviour reductions, etc...). Lloyd was allocated 225?!?! With 125, Lloyd's good record &/or a guilty plea would have reduced the sanction to a reprimand. I cannot locate a 2007 document or anything to advise of changes to the system for this season.

The document can be found at the AFLPA page & appears to be the current version: http://www.aflpa.com.au/index.cfm?menuid=E433D591-BAEC-A5E6-7CFB0DF680C75CC4

Was this an oversight or has the system changed? Someone please help me out here, as I'm feeling a deep sense of injustice.

Disgusting that for such a trivial incident, our captain will miss our greatest living player's 250th milestone game (& most likely final milestone) & the return from cancer of the great Rama.

Unfortunately not:

A level 2 charging report is now worth 225 points.

Oh... Damn it.

Thanks for that Tick.

Still, looking at their reasoning for increasing the penalty for charging (p.3 section 1.3) it is completely irrelevant to this particular incident:

"The points for offences of rough conduct and charging have been increased as follows to recognise the potential for injury often caused by these offences"

goodes was kinda in play, lloyds was after the siren, there is the difference

But not with Didak and Brett Peake- Didak punched him square in the back way behind play. The MRP and Tribunal are scum as hell, too inconsistent.
