Misunderstood Song Lyrics

I am sure this will have been done before but can't find a thread. have you ever sung along to a song for years and then found out you had it so completely wrong?!! I was made out to be a right goose the other day when I was caught singing the wrong words.

Hey, that sounds a lot more appealing than what the actual lyrics say.

But I must say, I can relate to the three-day growth a bit more than your idea.

When I used to drink cheap wine there was no way I could afford any sort of whore, let alone a teenage one. And I couldn't afford razor blades either. So this song became a bit of a personal anthem for me.

I remember the first time I heard the song Bad Moon Rising - by Creedence Clearwater Revival I thought the words read:

Don't go 'round tonight
it's bound and take your life,
there's a bath room on your right!?!?.

I mean the title tells you what the song is about and that it should be obvious that they were talking about a "bad moon on the rise" Gee Whiz - what a fruit loop I was!!!
