Ok yes he lost us the game, but he is a pretty good player. It is said he puts himself before the team, remind me of Steve Johnson. Had the talent but bad attitude etc. Look at him now, give the kid time he will be good.

Mitch Morton is a bit player in all this ... there are 100 ,mistakes that are made in game of football and to blame the one that is made in the final 90 seconds is so ridiculous it defies words .

How many times have you heard a "professional" coach in a press conference say what i have just said ? ...

FFS

Mitch as the potential to be a very good player unless the RFC f..ks him like it does everyone else

He's a bit of a gun imo. Once he is is a bit more team orientated he'll be a permanent member of the team. We haven't had a small forward with this class for years if you don't count Brown from 3 years ago

Or he might follow the status quo at richmond of the past 15 years and get up for the 1st season under the new coach, fool him and then settle back into his regular ways.

I am a fan of mitch, i think he only needs to lift his def work ethic and he'll be a gun, but you have to be wary of a player who worsold couldn't get into top gear.

He stuffed up, take your medicine and become better for it, which im sure he will

To be perfectly honest...the idea was probably ok...why wouldnt he back himself to go for the Dr, he's a good kick...betchya if he went for the dinky lollypop and it was cut off we'd all be going sick the other way....as mentioned earlier I could gather a 4hr highlights reel of richo doing the same thing...me thinks this players revolt is all about TW being selective in his sprays...my guess is one of the biggest cultpits in Browny has never been on the end of one:o

Wallet has been there 5 years to isolate one incident that cost of his career just illustrates how egotistic he really is.

Did you notice when Mr Brown kicked a running goal in the second quarter ... not one of his team-mates went up to him ? .... ;) ... stood out like dogs balls.

Tambling kicks wonderful running goal fifty out in the third quarter ... ignores Nahas who was twenty out ..no-one within thiry metres ... blatantly ignored team rules ... Geelong would have dished of 100 times out of 100 .

I actually was not savage on Mitch because instead of trying to save a game which we always do which shits me to tears he took it on and tried to win it ... this is a far more positive approach then Terry's habitual approach of getting 3/4 goals up and shutting down ... had Terry not shut down in the first place we may well have not found ourselves in the position in the first friggin place but people do not see this

This is why he was so feral and so off-kilter because of his self preservation mode he is in and this why why i am so f..kin feral

Bottom line ... Wallace has lost the plot and should be gone .. but he aint .

if he had have kicked it, there would be 10 "MITCH MORTON YOU ARE A LEGEND" threads here. it's weird, i think that the whole emphasis on team play is one of our huge problems; some players aren't backing themselves and we turn it over, imho...

yep , sub TW face for Ken Bruce and there you have it:o

Worsfold summed him up very early on.

Wallace needs to go. Seems like a poor judge of character, wasnt he lobbying for Rhan Hooper a year ago?

morton is too lazy and a fringe player at best, but they dont have much to replace him with simce the drafts are worse. he will chip in now and then but will just coast through most games without doing much.

mortons moment of madness will be remembered for a long time and he will be known as the player who was the final nail for wallace.

Yep he was after Hooper. And he got Morton, Hislop, Cousins, Gourdis, Connors, Brown, Hughes, Collard off the top of my head. I reckon that's spot on, attitude and character are clearly not as important to Wallet as they need to be.

That's true, but that's why players are legends for doing things like that...because if it doesn't come off they become the villain. Big risk, big reward.

The entire culture of the place will determine whether he becomes what he should be or whether we wonder what he could of been.

Remember Steve Johnson used to be a tool as well.

As much as the coach has a role in developing said "culture", so do to his teammates. Not sure that TW is the man to do that developing and probably never was.

he will either have a day out or be quiet. when he doesnt find much of the footy he should be moving up the ground and setting up some plays instead of waiting for someone to set him up.

im sorry, are you talking about nathan brown? you are aware that he was here a couple years before wallace right? 0>>>>>>>>>>credibility

besides, apart from hislop morton and hughes, none of those guys really cost us anything anyway, so for their talent its worth the punt. and as for cousins, you cannot falter his attitude and character in training and on the field, where it really matters.

you also forget to mention that most of those players were also taken by other clubs first. collard only lasted a year, and so may hislop. gourdis only has a rookie spot now. the only reason connors and hughes are still here is because they have at least shown a bit on the field. pettifer, easily one of our best forwards, barely played at all last year because of his attitude. lets not forget how long polo spent in the 2s. if attitude didnt matter, a number of those guys would have been playing for a while already.

Well let me say this. I'm staggered to think morton was targeted by wallace when all the time we hear the players are encouraged to take risks and take on the opposition. If morton had've kicked the goal he would be the hero.

I blame wallace for not being able to get his game plan right and poor preparation.

Im rapt with morton. At least he shows a bit of flair.

Whose decision was it to tell Moore to get away frm the pack at the throw in when Tredrae kicked his last goal....ummm...maybe the coach......who do you blame for that one Terry..

rrrrrrrrrright, in the time in took for that throw in to occur all 15 secs wallace sent out the message for moore to stop filling important space around the stoppage and get on his bike 40 metres behind play where there were already 2 richmond players..... that wallace has some amazing communication channels available.

champ, players don't have their hands held every minute of every quarter of every match, there are times when they need to make the correct decision, this was one of them, was it the runner? should moore have told him to **** off bc he knew best? no lets blame wallace
