Dermie has been backing us for months, so I was amazed to hear his comments on SEN on the day. I wondered if he was just trying to keep the game alive for listeners????

Anyway, just listen to Gary Lyon in the 3rd qtr - he has no choice but to give the devil his due. I love Rex, but the volume went down when he was calling. Doesn't he speak into the mike?

I too, think Dermie was trying to keep it interesting for the viewers.

I've also watched the SEN commentary. No whee near the level of continually calling for free kicks as MMM. Thought Bartlett ws OK but his continual use of 'dancing on a dollar' & 'time for think music' was just boring.

Would have loveed to have heard BTs call. Come back to FTA BT in 2012.

My only real disappointment was that I didn't get to hear Tim Lane call our win. That would have been sweet. Walls, while ordinary, isn't as bad as Lane but was hoping St.Kilda won to help validate his decision to recommend Ross Lyon to St.Kilda as he was on the panel who selected him for St.Kilda.

Watched it with the SEN commentary yesterday. I too think that Dermie was just trying to keep the call balanced by talking up St Kilda. Laidley and Lloyd were very insightful. Laidley talks about tactics and Lloyd actually explains how certain stats are relevant instead of just reading them out like Tom Harley does.

I thought SEN's coverage was horrible. Dermie consistently throughout the first half was 'Look, it looks bad but St Kilda are not out of this by any stretch'. Was pissing me off something shocking!

His best work was Riewoldt kicking a behind with 7 seconds left in the first quarter and Dermie goes "they can go end-to-end here Collingwood". Johnson kicks to Pendlebury in the back pocket and Dermie goes "nup stopped it". Siren.

How was 3aw call it wouldnt been funny hearing Robert Walls and Tim Lane be heart broke we won. I was in Greece so i never heard the Granny or seen it.
