Mo Cheeks fired

NBA teams are too quickon the gun. Why not let a team play through troubles?

he was basically COTY last year in hauling that squad to the playoffs, now they have a few teething probs and they ass him?

They should fire the GM who ok'ed the Brand signing who isnt a good fit for the team

Cheeks is a dud though. It was obvious in Portland and it was obvious again in Philly. The team outplayed expectations last year because they junked it up and no-one really took them seriously.

I agree that it's not a well-constructed team, but it's better than 9-14. And it's not like they're locked in to bad contracts, all of their starters are very trade-able if they choose to make a move.

It was a fair enough call. Tony DiLeo has been with the club for ages. And he get's a first up win. Love Mo but he just couldn't get this side together llike he did last. It's a ruthless game.

I have heard people say on laker forums that if the Lakers don't win the title this year (not just make the finals but win it) Phil Jackson will not be returning next year as coach under any circumstances (there was rumblings he was going to get the arse last year before they made the finals)

Sometimes though coaches can prove you wrong, and sometimes it's better to stick with them IE Boston and Doc Rivers (admittedly getting 2 all-stars in one hit helps, but still Doc's coaching esp on the defensive end has been outstanding)

yes but if boston didnt get garnett and allen would he still be coaching?

No. Doc is the Alan Joyce of the NBA.

But now his rep is made, the suckers will be the next team that hires him.
