His courage was shown on the weekend when his tap on and 1%er resulted in a goal to Bevan, but injured himself in the process and was rushed to hospital with a punctured lung. Jarred showed great courage and initiative when he knew he'd take the full brunt of the tackle and this is why he deserves this weeks nomination.

Vote Moore for the 2009 AFL Round 21 Army Award

Max Rooke (Geelong)

multiple strong tackles resulting in a turnover
Drew Petrie (North Melbourne)
launched himself in the air to spoil
Jarred Moore (Sydney)
courageous knock-on resulting in a goal

i voted moore - clear bias

but two broken ribs.... gave us a goal, kept us competitive (well for 2 more minutes)

clearly more should be made of moore

Prefer to see him play with a disposal efficiency of >50% but that's probably asking to much...

He actually had a 63% efficiency disposal rate on Sunday and if you read the HS today Moore was the highest Supercoach point earner per minute. He scored 80 points in 45 minutes of play so he was clearly in for a good game.I have never doubted his courage.

i voted twice
because he has 2 broken ribs
haha idunno why
i just think he desreves it

Heard from a mate of one of his bros that he is slowly improving but still pretty painful.Didn't want to stay in hospital so he is getting the royal treatment at home.He is going back to Sydney with his folks driving him as he isn't allowed fly.
It is a great example of the Swans close knit group as Moorey insists on farewelling the three amigos on the weekend.

Imagine if one of the boys punctured a lung in Perth or something...how would they get home? Or a Brisbane player unable to fly home from Perth...hahaha.

Meanwhile, if you look at all the Sydney players who have been nominated for the Army award throughout the season you'll see that they have each accumulated the highest number of votes in the corresponding round :D

Milne fractured his eye socket last year in Perth and had to drive home. Couldn't have happened to a more perfect guy. :p
