Thinking about the spot Daniel Bryan has at the moment, who are others through your time as a fan who have made more of a career in the big leagues than you would have thought?

And who are those who received chance after chance, but be it through personal demons, constant issues with promoters or maybe even injury, did not reach the level that was expected of them?

For the more, Kane amazes me with how long he's kept the interest of fans. When he debuted in 1997, I would have thought a year would be about right for the character. Feud with Taker and lose that, move onto to maybe one or two other things that wouldn't have the same impact seeing as it had not story behind it as deep as the 'long, lost brother'thing, and then be repackaged or released. But no, 16 years later, he's still there. And now he's with The Authority, a new chapter is being written.

One who wasted opportunities was Razor Ramon/Scott Hall. Granted, he still had a very good career, but that career at some point, given his talent, look and decent promo ability, should have included a run with a World title somewhere. While you don't necessarily have to have held a World title to be deemed successful, in the case of Scott Hall, where he held many secondary titles through AWA, WWF and WCW, he should have made more of himself than he did.

Chuck Palumbo, he was better than Batista in every way yet never really made it.

I'm suprised Mysterio had the impact he did in WWE.

For a guy who was never really anything more than a solid midcard hand, Bob Holly did pretty well for himself to last 15 years in WWE.

Mark Henry's WWE career is going on 18 years as well, the first decade of which really wasn't worth a damn.

Kind of puzzled as to why WWE couldn't have done more with Chris Hero as well. Apparently he wondered aloud at this too, which supposedly "sealed his fate" with higher-ups. I know he doesn't really have the body he should for a tall guy, but they could have easily just thrown him and Cesaro together and given them a decent run with their Kings of Wrestling schtick.

Easy one.

He was still a star, for a long time, and in multiple promotions, but the biggest "what-if" guy to me was Barry Windham. Watch his match against Flair circa 1986 and you just wonder how he never had multiple title reigns. Had absolutely everything.

Totally agree, Windham was smooth as silk, yet tough as nails. How the NWA didn't make him in 86/87, I have no idea.

And when he turned on Luger in April of 88, wow, one of my favourite turns due to it's shock value. Good run as US champ too.

Even in 1989 when he went to the WWF as The Widowmaker. Matches vs Bret, Jake and Hogan, would have been good to see.

Goldust is one who really made his gimmick work he in another time I believe could have been a lot bigger

Always been a fan of Goldust, I think he added a different element to the company any time he was there. Am loving that he's had this run with Cody, they must be living the dream (no pun intended) every day, that they are Tag champs together. Those kinda feel good things don't happen too often in wrestling. One every now and then, and the fans can really invest in it, like they are with The Brotherhood now.
