Rumours have been going around about a new Mortal Kombat game, and it's officially been announced. Mortal Kombat X is coming.
A lot of this looks like gameplay footage. No idea if it is or not. Regardless, this trailer gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

That looks amazing. Though i also wonder whether that's actually gameplay footage or just renders. If that is how the game looks though, it's going to be brilliant to look at while removing people's limbs.

^lol yeah, I got a mate to pick up the last one for me in New Zealand when he was over there around the time it came out. R18 has come in since then, hopefully all will be good but I guess we might get a toned-down version which would also suck.

If that is gameplay footage wow, consider me sold.

Can't wait.

It's not gameplay footage, it's just CGI rendering done for marketing. BUT... there are some gameplay aspects from the trailer that are rumoured to be included, similar to Injustice, where you can rip weapons off trees, some characters can use weapons (like in MK4), and interactions with the environment.

Once again, these are just waht I've heard people in the industry say. Definitely not game footage though. Still hyped for it though, looks like it's gonna be good.

For all we know it could just be a quick thing they did to promote the game and not be indicative of the cutscenes or gameplay in this game. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

That's exactly what it is. It's sole purpose was to get hype for the upcoming E3 and other conventions.

WB tend to like using the CGI teaser for their announcements.

They tend to do it with the Arkham games as well.

Yeah big fan of MK played them all from MK1,MK2,MK3,trilogy, mk vs dc and mk9 and all the others. I was one of the first to order the then banned mk9 game ( even though gov said anyone that inports this $100,000 fine haha. Looking forward to this bring it on.

PS4 version confirmed to be 1080p, 60fps.

You can rest safe in the knowledge that upcoming brawler Mortal Kombat X will run at 60 frames-per-second in 1080p. Creative director Ed Boon confirmed the tidbit on Twitter, adding that the title will employ NetherRealm Studios’ heavily customised iteration of Unreal Engine 3.
