Movie Maker programs?

I ws wondering what a good one would be, other then Windows which is cracking the sads with me at the moment, well it does it when I want to import a video it goes to not responding and it's annoying me so I am looking for a different program to use.

Any ideas?

NOTE: Just want names of programs to check out, not links, unless they are offering info on the programs.

Quick time pro is the best. Sadly only available on Mac

Adobe Premier is ok, Sony Vegas is alright too.

Cheers I will check them out, well not Quick Time Pro obviously as I am not on a mac...but still..
