Curt Hennig, better known to many as Mr Perfect was found dead in a hotel room in Florida. He was 44 years of age.

Another untimely death in the wrestling business. His greatest moments for mine were the excellent series of matches he had with Bret Hart around 1991 culminating in the match of the year at Summerslam. In his prime, he was one of the best workers in the world.

OMG

I can't believe this. Curt was one of the fittest and brightest talents in the business.

Very sad and surprising news :(

Like his gimmick, some of his moves were perfection. The Perfect Plex has never been done better.

RIP Curt

Mr Perfect was my fave wrestler when he returned to the WWE :(

He was perfect ..... Mr Perfect

This is shocking news.

RIP Curt, you will be sorely missed in the wrestling business.

He was at NWA:TNA only a few months ago, and looked very good. A damn shame that he will be remembered in the industry for the Brock Lesnar plane incident rather than his talent.

It's weird on the night before I heard he died I was watching Summerslam 89 when he wrestles the Red Rooster. The Rooster does a knee or ankle early in the match and Mr perfect knew this and he played out the rest of the match accordingly. Anyway I was going to come on here and say how good it was to watch someone finish a match with an opponent who was injured and when I logged on I read this.

I must say I'm glad I went and saw him when he was out here with the All-star Wrestling thing about 3 years ago, even if he was forced to wrestle Rodman.

I remember that match clearly because at the time the WWF wanted to use it (Henning vs T Taylor) to showcase that they could have 'real' rasslin as good as anything the then NWA/WCW could offer up. In other words instead of the brawl fests of the usual WWF standard fare they wanted to have a 30 min type match in the vein of Flair vs Windham/Steamboat etc. That TT blew the knee early TOTALLY stuffed up what they hoped would be a WWF technical showpiece.

It was around the time of Brett Harts rise, Michaels etc coming on to main-event status. Henning how he carried that match (and TT trying his best on a blown knee) really showed how professional a competitor he was.

Sorry for the ramble, just thought it a great Curt story.
