If you have dial-up internet, check your connection speed.
Over the weekend my connection (Optus) was mostly 31,200 or 32,000 bps, meaning MSN didn't have enough resources to sign me in if I was surfing the net.
Usually Optus is 44,000 to 50,000 bps.

Yep exactly, and I know when I downloaded it I got an error message and after a few attempts with the same message I decided I could live without it.
Some other people had no problems at all downloading it, but have found that it signs them out a lot and is full of other problems. I figured that I'd rather wait for an 'official' version. A friend was telling me about a 'druggo' messenger that was going around, it had drug paraphernalia as emoticons, is that part of messenger 6 or a different one? Anyone know?
