How many Murdoch Uni students are there on this board? I was looking at another thread and they seem to be everywhere. Im currently studying Economics here.

Im there and I hate it.
UWA socially is soo much better and every day I spend there I feel I am missing out on good times I could be having at UWA.
So next year thats where I shall be.

Both of my sons graduated from Murdoch and found it to be a very good Uni. Fred Chaney is a good Chancellor

I go to curtin and its easily the best uni i reckon. UWA best socially? i thought it would be full of computer programmers.

Depends on the faculty. Some UWA faculties are great for social functions (Engineering, Arts). Others, like Commerce, are just absolutely shyte.

For my 0.02, I enjoy going to Murdoch more than I did UWA.

I'm at UWA at the moment.
UWA is pretty good for social functions with Mexicana, Solid Gold and TOGA !!!
Manix gigs are pretty good, faculty sundowners are ok and cocktail nights are pretty damn joy.
Yeah so I'm liking UWA heaps, but I guess I don't have anything else to compare it to.

I go to Curtin also and think that its great wouldn't change Uni's for quids!

I went to Murdoch a few times last year because a friend of mine goes there and it's not the best campus (I saw more hippies and rabbits there than actual students)

UWA socially is over-rated too from what I've heard. Commerce and Law faculty dont have the best social activities, Engineering is very good thou. Depends on what your there for.

I'm currently doing Engineering/Commerce at UWA and theres quite a difference in the two faculties. Engineering kicks arse with the amount of social activities they provide but commerce is bloody shocking. The accountants are kinda living up to their reputation (sorry to any accountants here ). As I haven't gone to any other uni's I wouldn't know what they're like, but I think it just depends on what faculty you're on. Some are prepared to do more than others (thank god for the engineering department).
