LAST WEEK SUMMATION AFTER GOING TO THE GAME

Essendon played with more accountability which Carlton lacked in , which was due to the intense pressure on the ball by the Essendon players proved in all to be abit too competitive for the Carlton outfit ... to their likings .
It will take too much to reverse the psychological trend when these two teams meet again next time around .... I have my reservations to put it mildly .

SPECIAL MENTION OF THE WEEK
Goes to Denis Armfield . . . tough and courageous .
May not have the best of disposals and may at times be susceptible on one on one contests but gives his all and is one of a few players that play for the jumper .

My Admissions / Omissions For This Weeks Game V Adelaide

Chris Judd - Burst player will add much needed firepower after being sorely missed .

Jeff Gartlett - sneaky crummer who can go both ways and apply forward pressure

Levi Casboult - Rookie Elevation .. built well ..sturdy and can develop into a class forward that is so desperately needed

Paul Bower - Running tall backman

Andrew Walker - Cant hit targets ... poor kicking skills ..not with it ..mind seems to be elsewhere .. as a team could do away with the turnovers

Brett Thornton - Plays like he doesnt wanna be there and hasnt played well for a while ... to much of a stagnant .

Setanta O'Hailpin - Im sorry but I dont rate O'Hailpin ... too many hard earnt forward thrusts goes to waste when his a focal point ... not balanced and very poor kick for league level ...may take one grab out of six attempts ..not consistent in the slightest for a guy who has played as many league games as he has ... I dont question his endeavour but that doesnt cut it when you have low skill level .

Mitch Robinson - will get plenty of opportunities later on .

B : Houlihan Jamison Bower
HB : Russell Waite Scotland
C : Lucas Judd Murphy
HF: Yarran Henderson Simpson
F: Gartlett Casboult Betts
Foll : Kruezer Mclean Gibbs .
Int : Armfield , Carazzo , Joseph , Warnock .
EMERG : Dare ( rookie elevation) , Robinson , Johnson .

In : Judd , Gartlett , Casboult ( new) , Bower
Out : Walker , Thornton , O'Hailpin , Robinson

thats it... drop our leading goal scorer...

Sheesh... and I got bagged for saying that we should drop betts because he has been making some questionable decisions lately...

Should have put this in one of the other 4 million threads out there!

Yep ..drop Setanta for Casboult . Melbourne beat Adelaide last week with a whole lot of bunch of kids who had a good mixture of talent and enthusiam . .. bring in one kid throw him in the deep end see how he goes ...not gonna know how good his gonna be if you dont test him out .
I'd play him right away !

I would play him at the back end of the season tbh... at this point, he would only last about 30-40 minutes out of the match and we need someone who can be out there.

And are you saying that Setanta doesnt have enthusiasm? He has enough talent to be our leading goal scorer at the moment and the guy gives 110% every week. He had a bad day against the bummers, but you can hardly blame him considering the amount of inaccurate I50's that came in.

I dont think that any of the forwards kicked a set shot all day... we were constantly having to crumb and scramble our goals.

You could argue also that Melbourne beat the Crows last week by wearing red and Blue jumpers......which is true.......but does that mean we should change our strip?

Two factors co-existing doesn't mean they are correlated. If you look at the top 10 melbourne possession winners they are mostly the older players......I think Scully had less than 10 touches, Trengove in the teens.

Melbournes injury prone older players are playing some good footy, and the Crows had no bench for most of the second half. Even then it was a close run thing. Give the crows 1 or 2 on the bench and they win.

So lets not play kids for kids sake, and "Luke Livingston" Levi, and maybe we just run with the leading goalkicker who sadly for you, you don't rate.:thumbsu:

So you dont rate Casboult cos his just a kid bluebear ?
I call it as I see it .. and you sound like one of those typical delusional richmond supporters

No...

OUR bogey side, but Adelaide have lost 3 in a row, and will be breathing fire.Yes they have injuries, but remember we have a coaching panel who cannot as yet play against the rolling zone. Can win, with passion and commitment four 4 quarters, will lose if we show the same intensity and dumbness as against Essendon. INS JUDD,BOWER(if fit) hadley, outs Mclean, Walker, houlihan
