What was the issue with Myo and what do osteo do?

I think mine is musclar.

Not sure what his issues with it were, he just said he didn't like it, and it didn't do much for him. Didn't really divulge any further information.

Osteo works off the principles that the body is a whole system, and involves manipulations (not like chiro manipulations) where they could work on one part of the body, and it has a positive effect on another part.
My issues are structural though, so I don't know how good it is with muscular stuff.

I have tried Myotherapy but didn't find it effective. I found that they mainly focused on the symptom area and not other potential causes of the problem. This also happened with Osteo. It could have been the specific professionals that I visited, I don't really know.

I eventually ended up visiting a well recognised Physio who sorted out my problem.

You should try Myotherapy anyway, if you're desperate for a solution.

So is Myotherapy the same thing as Remedial Massage? sounds similar from what I just read.

I've been to Physio's alot for sports injuries, and I cant stand them. just seems like nothing is happening for an hour and then you pay the bill.

Then I went to a remedial massage dude that was recommended and it was amazing. I've been to them for 2 sports injuries.

1. wrist sprain. i'm a tennis player but landed badly playing basketball. I couldn't play tennis at all for about a month. then I went to the remedial dude and was playing the following week.

2. medial knee ligament strain. again I couldn't do any sport at all, went to this dude and after just 1 session was back playing again. I shouldn't have, but I was able to struggle through it. without the massage i'd have been no chance.

the key is to find a therapy that works for you. it's different for everyone.

Found a Myo that specialises in Cycling related injuries which I think is part of the problem with the posture of riding and crouching over handlebars. Try next week.

I love that the only time many alternative medicines are helpful are when they try to mimic physios/OTs. Cut out the bullshit and just see a physio.

Seen physio...either I go to another or try something else.

After 5 visits something about **** on a bull.

Done with Physio and Chrio...now I am moving onto Myo for upper back and neck pain.

Anyone used Myo?

Thoughts.

Getting desperate ATM about this.

I had a chronic lower back problem for months. Couldn't put my shoes and socks on, had to get the wife to do it. Went to a myotherapist. Had been to physios, osteos, chiros before, all useless. Within one session, I was on the road to recovery. Can't praise it enough.

I had Myotherapy today concentrating on my lower back, glutes and hamstrings (he put needles in my butt) - muscles are feeling fantastic.
I see an osteo as well as a preventative measure.
I've had myo once before after a car accident to sort out some whip lash. That was also good.

I recommend it, although it can feel fairly unpleasant.
