Anyone seen this before?
Was on my laptop last night, as I went to shut down, I noticed the 'new program installed' pop up. Not having installed anything I checked what was there and there was a folder called 'Norton'. There were a couple of options under the Norton folder (can't remember exactly what).
I had Norton Antivirus installed on the machine years ago, but formatted the Hard Drive a couple of years back and never bothered with re-installing it, going for AVG instead. I asked the wife and she swore she hadn't installed anything and that she had noticed it too.
I'm stumped. I'm certainly not going to run anything listed under the folder and will try and remove whatever it is tonight through the add/remove function. The only thing the machine gets used for is surfing the web and downloading torrents. Whether or not the wife has downloaded a dodgy torrent, I don't know.
